Materials, connections and control options

The natural-convection series is available with 85 and 115 mm casing heights, in single lengths up to three metres; longer installations can use joined sections. Linear grilles and casings use corrosion-resistant aluminium profiles; an aluminium frame is optional. Grille options are anodised aluminium, painted aluminium and wood. The copper-tube/aluminium-fin coil has 1/2″ inlet and outlet connections, a 4 mm fin pitch and 40×35 mm geometry. Drain and air vents are on the fixed brass fitting outside the casing. The coil can be removed after disconnecting the pipework. Cooling can be provided with a drain pan to suit the project.

The electronic board provides on/off valve control and three-stage tangential fan control. Automatic speed selection follows the difference between room temperature and setpoint. Supply is 230 V; one room panel can manage up to eight convector control boards. Optional five-stage control, weekly scheduling and central-system connection are listed in the catalogue. The two-way electrothermal valve is specified for maximum 95°C water temperature, 16 bar and 230 V / 50 Hz / 2.5 W.

Installation details

Nine installation steps
  1. Position according to the finished floor height.
  2. Place the convector as designed and adjust the levelling bolts.
  3. Check alignment using a spirit level.
  4. Connect the water circuit and, for fan models, the electricity; check before screeding.
  5. Use two spanners and PTFE tape when connecting the coil pipework.
  6. Space the temporary supports evenly in the casing.
  7. Fit a separator to keep construction debris out and screed around the casing.
  8. Fill the system with water, start it and vent air at the coil inlet.
  9. After the concrete dries, remove the temporary supports and fit the linear grille.
